Language Project Management
Provide leadership in a language project where language research and translation are ongoing, so that the work progresses at a good pace towards the goal of having the Bible available for the speakers of the language.
Language projects can vary greatly in terms of their scope and the number of people involved in the work in various locations over many years. Language Project Management seeks to maintain good working relationships between all members of the team, as well as seeing good quality work in the finished products of the project. It will include training and mentoring members of the project, especially local language speakers, as well as monitoring the research and translation activities of the project. Roles may also involve communicating with other language project teams, attending conferences, and representing the project and the organisation in various contexts.
