Jason & Karen come from Tasmania, where they owned a SCUBA business. They were married in 1992 and have three children: Brodie (1993), Shannon (1998) and Lachlan (2003).

God called the Griffiths family into full-time ministry with Wycliffe in 2006 as a result of wanting to see people everywhere have access to His Word. The Griffiths went to the Philippines in 2007, facilitated two Bible story translation projects, and were involved as trainers and mentors for Filipinos and others around Asia who wanted to be involved in this ministry.

Jason & Karen served in administration, as coordinators for translation teams, and then Jason served as Director for SIL in the Philippines.

In May 2016, Jason began serving as SIL Area Director for the Pacific, with Karen assisting him. The Griffiths family will return to Australia in 2017 to be based in Brisbane as a more central location for this role. Their ministry focus is supporting and overseeing the work of SIL in the Pacific and relating to partner organisations to see Bibles translated and lives transformed for the glory of God.
