Since marrying in 2011, John and Jenna (now with Matthias and Lydia) have been living in the remote indigenous community of Ngukurr, Northern Territory (NT). In partnership with the local indigenous leaders and the Anglican Diocese of the NT, they are serving in roles to encourage people to use the Kriol Bible and to
support the local churches in the Roper Region to minister to their communities.
In response to the needs and opportunities that have been identified, John and Jenna will help start a ministry focusing on indigenous children, youth and families that will be a new initiative between Wycliffe Australia and Scripture Union Northern Territory (SUNT), in partnership with the local indigenous churches. The initial team will minister in three different regions of the NT. John will be the Field Team Leader for this new ministry and Jenna will be responsible for Member Care. Together John and Jenna are seeking to integrate their skills, training and experiences to continue serving Australia’s indigenous people and to equip and care for cross-cultural workers.
