Liz Pfeifer began working with Wycliffe Australia in 2002, serving in various administrative roles at the Wycliffe National Office (Kangaroo Ground, Victoria). In 2008, she travelled to the Philippines for a 12-month field assignment. Initially she provided administrative support to a Bible translator, then moved into a computer support and training role. During that initial field assignment, she felt the Lord calling her to serve long-term in Asia. She is based in Manila, Philippines, serving as an IT consultant/trainer with SIL Asia. Her role connects her with those serving at the “grassroots” of Bible translation, responding to their needs and increasing their capacity to serve. Some of her tasks include: connecting IT staff serving in Asia, assessment of IT support needs, day-to-day IT support, email administration, and training.
