Marc & Joey
Computers help enormously with Bible translation. However, simply getting the Scriptures typed remains a significant challenge for many languages. For the last 20 years, a tiny Australian company, founded by Marc Durdin, has been providing a program called Keyman to solve this problem. This commercial product has already been used to produce hundreds of Bible translations around the world. Now, Wycliffe, SIL, and the Durdin family are journeying together to make Keyman freely available worldwide.
Marc and Joey Durdin, with their three children, Bethany, Hannah and Peter, have been invited to work in South-East Asia, starting in July 2016. They will be based in one of the capital cities where Marc will lead a team updating Keyman; calibrating it for translation work and making it freely available. Joey will continue her work as a midwife and the children will attend school.
