Noel & Catharine Carpenter
Born and raised in Christian, mission-minded families, Noel and Catharine knew Jesus as Lord and Saviour at a young age. Having met through the local Christian university group, they were married in 2001 and have been blessed with daughter Aisha (11) and sons Mark (9) and Luke (3). Having spent the past ten years training for, or in cross-cultural mission work, they are currently spending time in Tasmania to renew relationships with family, friends and churches, while continuing to work with Wycliffe. Noel is the State Representative for Tasmania — giving Christian university students a vision for serving cross-culturally in the future, and thanking churches for their support of the work of Wycliffe. Catharine is supporting him in this role. They hope to return to cross-cultural work in north-east Arnhem Land in 2018 — Noel as a pilot and Catharine supporting the work of Bible translation in Aboriginal languages.
