Tanya Johnson

Tanya grew up in a non-Christan home and was introduced to God by believing relatives as well as attending Girls' Brigade, school-based religious programs, occasional Sunday School classes and watching TV programs.

Tanya became a Christian at Girls' Brigade when she was about 9-11 years old. At 13, she began to attend church regularly after her dad became a Christian. During her teen years, Tanya committed to being in full time ministry for God, but did not know what this would look like. Over the years God has taken Tanya on a journey into cross-cultural ministry that has led her to develop a heart to pass on the discipleship she has experienced in her life so others can have the same chance at experiencing God.

Tanya currently lives and works in Papua New Guinea as a literacy worker. Through literacy Tanya is discipling people so that they can read and understand the Bible in a language that speaks to their heart and train them so they too can disciple others through literacy.
