Waiting on God for a breakthrough…

ABOVE PHOTO BY LISA VANDEN BERG

I am currently praying into three matters and waiting on God for breakthroughs.

Firstly, after wanting to record more Scripture for a long time, I was finally able to get 1 & 2 Thessalonians recorded in May 2017.

Secondly, I’ve been involved in negotiations on and off with the publisher of the Alyawarr to English Dictionary for ten months now, and still no contract has been signed, nor has layout work begun (as of late May 2017). After working on editing this dictionary for many years (with two non-SIL co-compilers) this is very frustrating. The online version will require some tricky programming fixes before it can be uploaded to AuSIL’s website in the form that matches the print version.

Thirdly, I haven’t always succeeded in juggling my various ‘hats’, to keep a good balance between family life, work and church. The aspect that has been dropped for some time now is new Scripture translation (as opposed to revision of existing translation). I am just about to start work on 1 Timothy.
